Psychometric Ability Test

These tests measure your ability in particular areas and the score will be used to give an indication of your likely performance in the job in areas related to the content of the test. The most common types of ability test are:

·         Verbal reasoning

·         Numerical reasoning

·         Clerical ability and checking

·         Critical Thinking (problem solving and decision making)

·         Spatial and diagrammatical reasoning

The best way to prepare for these types of test is to search on the internet for the area you are looking for and look to find example tests you can use to practise. You should do this under time pressure as that is what you will experience at the assessment centre.
